Mary Carolyn Dillon, age 83, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Sweetwater Healthcare Center. Per her wishes, her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bill Butler officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. Mary Carolyn was born on October 20, 1935 in Loogootee, Indiana to Clarence L. and Mary Gertrude (Clemons) Arvin. She worked as a pharmacy technician for K-Mart for many years before retiring.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish She married John W. Dillon in Loogootee, Indiana. She is survived by two daughters, Denise Jones and husband Glen of Sweetwater, Texas, and Connie Beights and husband Weldon of Sweetwater, Texas; one son, Ricky R. Dillon and wife Vanessa of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren, Lisa Quiroga, Jessica Baugh, Robert Baugh, Emily Jones, Kelsey Estes, Kassie Dillon, Corbin Bradley; and Brent Terry; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Leo Arvin, Frances Lay, Jerry Arvin, Raymond Arvin, David Arvin and Jim Arvin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Arvin; husband, John W. Dillon; daughter, Julie Dillon; and sister, Eleanor Arvin.
