Mary Anna Chickey, beloved mother, grandmother and wife, passed away on Sunday March 10, 2019 at the age of 85. Born in Elizabeth, NJ she resided there before moving to Colonia with her husband in 1961. Mary was a hard-working, generous and modest woman her entire life.

She enjoyed her home and living in Colonia for over 57 years. She was a great cook who enjoyed having holiday celebrations at her home. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and wife who was always a supportive and strong advocate for her family.

She enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City with her husband, spending time with her family and watching her favorite television shows Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Lifetime movies. Mary worked throughout her life at several companies including Mattel Inc., Regina Company and L’Oreal before retiring in 1990. Mary was the eldest of five children of her parents Alfred and Caroline Jobeck of Elizabeth, NJ.

Predeceased are her eldest son, Robert Chickey, her parents, Alfred and Caroline, her brothers John, Richard, Robert, and sister Gennieve Phelps. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Charles Chickey, her daughters Marilyn Chickey of Edison, Carolyn Yocco of New Providence, Rosemary Chickey of Colonia, her son Charles Chickey Jr. of Colonia, her granddaughter Jennifer Chickey Gallegly of Mendham, and grandson Christopher Yocco of New Providence.
