Mary Watson Christian, daughter of the late Jasper and Rosa Mae Lee Watson, gave up time for Eternity, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 while a patient at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, South Carolina. She was born May 22, 1958 in Stanly County, North Carolina. As we say good-bye to our beloved Mary, we give honor to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his grace and mercy; and the years he allowed us to share Mary’s life.

She was educated in the Stanly County public schools and graduated from Albemarle Senior High School-Class of 1976, Albemarle, North Carolina. Prior to declining health, Mary was employed in the hotel hospitality industry. At an early age Mary confessed Christ as her personal Savior and joined Saints Delight Church, Albemarle.

There Mary and her family enjoyed many spirited church services. Mary has a sweet spirit, kind heart and a willingness to lend a helping hand to her fellowman. She was full of laughter and joy.

Oh, how she loved her family and cherished their family gatherings. Mary’s parents; daughter, Shanquetta Christian; son, Carson Christian, Jr.; and two brothers: Ernest Watson and June Lee preceded her in death. She leaves precious memories with her son, Deneltron “Fred” Watson, Charlotte, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Deneltron, Jr., Kadence and Shaylene; brothers: James (Anita) Lee, Camden, New Jersey, Joseph (Victoria) Watson, Sr., Decatur, Georgia and James T.(Wanda) Watson, Atlanta, Georgia; sisters: Betty (Jerry) Roberts, Conyers, Georgia and Patricia Watson, Lithonia, Georgia; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; best friend and classmate, Phyllis Hamilton, Albemarle; and special friend, Alex Bradley, Charlotte.
