Mary Edith Hulsey was born on July 27, 1944, in Hobart, Oklahoma, to Harmon Francis and Mable Irene (Smith) Walker. She passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. She was 74.

A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28, at 2:00 P.M. in the Marlow First Baptist Church Chapel, with Ron Maxfield officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center. Mary graduated from Gotebo High School and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

She married Donald James Hulsey on June 10, 1966, in Mangum. To this union, two daughters – Lisa Ann and Debra Jo – were born. Mary owned and operated Southwestern Office Machines in Weatherford.

She also worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Garza West Unit as a supply clerk. She enjoyed traveling to the coast, watching the ships come and go, and salt water fishing. She also liked to crochet, knit, quilt, and read.

Mary is survived by her husband of 52 years, Don; daughters, Lisa Ann Hulsey and Debra Jo Hulsey; grandchildren, James Robert and wife Brandi Hulsey and Shelby Ann Marie Sproles. She is also survived by her brothers, Harmon Francis Jr. and wife Jean Ann Walker, and Joe Billy Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harmon and Mable Walker.
