Obituary for Mary “Ellen” McGill Richardson Funeral services for Mary “Ellen” McGill Richardson, age 78 of Mineola, Texas, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale, Texas with Pastor Ted Richardson and Pastor Samuel Priddy officiating. Interment will follow at Bascom Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. Ellen passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her home in Mineola.

She was born September 10, 1940 in Lindale, Texas to the late John Jesse and Dollie (Richardson) McGill. Ellen was a lifelong resident of Smith County and was a member of the Christ Gospel Church in Tyler. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, sharing her faith and was a loving, wife, mother, and homemaker.

Ellen worked over the last several years as a caregiver to several in their last stages of life. She was gifted in touching people and making them feel loved and cared for. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Richardson in 2003, son, Joe Richardson in 2009, and grandson, Gaaron Hicks in 2009.

Ellen is survived by sons, Ted Richardson and wife, Gina of Mineola, Billy Richardson and wife, Kathy of Tyler; daughter, Diane Richardson of Mineola; daughter-in-law, Dorrie Richardson of Alba; 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will include, Shane Richardson, Heath Richardson, Zach Richardson, Randy McGill, Kyle McGill, and Christian Reeves. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 prior to the service.
