Mary Frances Peacock, 74, of Paris Crossing, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019, at her residence. Born August 21, 1944, in Happy, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Earl and Dorothy Smith. She married Ralph Peacock on September 24, 1961 at the Coffee Creek Christian Church in Paris Crossing; he survives.

Mrs. Peacock was a housewife, worked as a supervisor for CEW in North Vernon and as a cook and waitress for the former Hen House in Seymour. She was a member of Coffee Creek Christian Church. Mrs. Peacock enjoyed playing bingo, camping, canning, gardening, cooking, and quilting.

She loved spending time with her family, sisters and dog, Angel. Surviving with her husband, Ralph Peacock; a son, Ronnie (Sheila Kiste) Peacock of Commiskey; daughters, Missy (Leonard) Dunn of Commiskey and Sherry (William Lanham) Young of Madison; brother, David Smith of New Washington; sisters, Rachel (Lawerance) Morris and Debbie (Terry) Lotich, both of New Washington, Yvonne Meadows of Austin, and Marsha Vest of Madison; grandchildren, Savannah (Jeremy) Young and Lester Peacock, both of Commiskey, Sarah Elizabeth Weldy of Bedford, Natasha (Alex) Westrick of Carrolton, Kentucky, Tanner (Becca) Smith of Paris Crossing, Kevin Dunn of Scottsburg, Joseph Dunn of Austin, Shane Dunn of Blocher, Haleigh Stafford of Columbus and Brittney Stafford of Seymour; great-grandchildren, Connor Bower of Commiskey, Braxton, Bailee and Bralyn Weldy, all of Bedford, Macey Peacock and Emma Sawyer, both of Columbus, Nathan, Addison, and Paisley Mazza, and Gabriel and Abel Westrick, all of Kentucky, Braxton and Addyson Petro, and Remmington and Gracie Smith, all of Paris Crossing, Steven Litzy of North Vernon, Marley Dunn of Blocher, and Bryce Stafford, and Taylor and Tyler White, all of Seymour. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronnie Smith and sister, Barb Lewis.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Damon Marling officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, May 13, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Burial will be in the Coffee Creek Christian Cemetery in Paris Crossing. Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses or Coffee Creek Christian Cemetery.
