Obituary for Mary Francis Cosgrove KELLER – Mary Francis Cosgrove, age 89, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at a local senior living facility in Keller. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Mary was born on her family’s dairy farm in Jellico, now Southlake, on May 19, 1929.

In 1946, she graduated from Keller High School, where she met friends she would have for the rest of her life. Later, she met her husband of 57 years, Bernard “Barney” Cosgrove. They were married in 1948.

Faithful is the most obvious attribute when thinking of Mary. Not only did she have lifelong friends and a strong marriage, she was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Francis Church in Grapevine. Her mother, Rosetta Sheehey, was a founding member of St. Francis Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Cosgrove; her son, Robert Cosgrove; and her grandson, Matthew Cosgrove. Her survivors include her brother, Patrick Sheehey; children, Michael and Robin Cosgrove; grandchildren, Amy and David Fancher and Jeremy and Juliana Cosgrove; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Whether she was called mother, sister, aunt, grandma, gigi, or friend, Mary will be missed by many.
