Mary M. Horner, age 93, of Potosi, WI, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster, WI. She was born July 28, 1925 in Potosi, the daughter of Celestine and Hilda (Zenz) Brawner. Mary attended the St. Andrew School in Tennyson, WI.

She was married to Robert Leeser, who preceded her in death in 1950, and was then married to Virgil Horner from 1955 until his death in 2002. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, crafts, mowing her yard, and was an avid gardener and Green Bay Packer fan.

Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary is survived by her children: Betty Leeser, Alan (Paulette) Horner, Ruthie Horner, Anita (Rod) Blindert, and Becky (Walt) Burbach; six grandchildren: Melissa (Doug Berger) Horner, Christopher (Jennifer) Horner, Joy (Jake) Droessler, Lance (Taylor) Butson, Krystal (Anthony Steinbach) Butson, and Ashley (Ryan Kisting) Blindert; five great-grandchildren: Riley and Kylee Droessler, Ava and Alhana Horner, and Carter Butson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie Leeser, in 2017; and a sister, Agnes Maahs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Potosi with Fr. Richard Leffler officiating. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Family and friends may call Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi, where a rosary will be prayed at 3:45 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Mary M. Horner Memorial Fund had been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi is entrusted with her services.
