Mary Jane Radtke, 91, of Wausau, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born in Rosholt on August 18, 1926 to the late Louis and Sophia (Johnson) Marquard. On July 20, 1943 she married her true love, Elmer Radtke.

He preceded her in death in 2003. Throughout her life, Mary Jane worked in many places. Wisconsin Box, Marathon Electric, sold Tupperware and did Home Care for the Elderly.

Most important to Mary Jane was her family. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were what made her truly happy. She even made sure to make time to play with her great grand fur kids, Shilo and Nikita.

Mary Jane enjoyed going up north, fishing and traveling with friends and family. She loved all of the people and enjoyed playing the balloon game and Yahtzee at daycare, where she would go three days a week. She also loved putting together puzzles, reading, playing cards and quilting.

Mary Jane was always there to lend a helping hand, whether she was volunteering at church or Bethesda; she was always there. She will be missed by her family and friends and all who knew and loved her. Mary Jane is survived by her daughters, Elaine Holbrook and Sally Radtke; daughter-in-law, Sondra Radtke; four grandchildren, Tracy (Jarrod) Koss, Troy (Tina) Radtke, Jaime (Matt) Zimmermann and Ryan (significant other Stacy De La Pena) Radtke; seven great-grandchildren, Mallory, Jessa and Jasmine Zimmermann, Rayanne Teige, Dylan De La Pena-Radtke, Clara Radtke and Shelby Boegli.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her son Edwin Radtke; daughter Sharon Boegli; her two son-in-laws, Daniel Holbrook and Paul Boegli; grandson, Matthew Boegli; granddaughter Angela Boegli and her three great grandchildren Peighton, Madison and Breighton Boegli. Mary Jane was also preceded in death by her 11 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, July 23, 2018 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Drive, Wausau.

Pastor Bruce Lamont will officiate. Visitation will take place from 2:00 pm until the time of services at the church. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery.
