Mary Jo Lewandowski nee Wysocke, age 57, a resident of Romeoville, IL, former longtime resident of Stickney, IL, passed away on February 18, 2019. She was born on January 10, 1962 in Chicago, IL. Mary Jo is survived by her children Michael R. Lewandowski and Samantha Ann Lewandowski; siblings Richard Wysocke, John Wysocke, and Donna (Dennis) Jung; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother Marlene Wysocke; her uncle Tom. Mary Jo was a 911… dispatcher for over 10 years with Bolingbrook Police Department until the merger to Wescom where she dispatched for many communities. She was a very generous woman who would often donate her time and efforts to the Special Olympics, St. Baldrick’s, and the Law Enforcement Torch Run to name a few.

Most of all, she was a devoted mother who loved her children dearly. She will be deeply missed. Family and friends to gather Friday, February 22 for Visitation 2:00-7:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services 15219 S. Joliet Rd.

Plainfield, IL 60544. Interment will be private. For those wishing to leave a lasting tribute to Mary Jo’s memory, donations to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation at PO Box 1848 Longmont, CO 80502 would be appreciated.
