Mary Kathryn Barbour died peacefully on October 30, 2018 at 94. Mary was born September 9, 1924 in Rock Island, Il to George A. and Mary (Emmerson) Barnes. While in first grade she met William F. Barbour.

They married on June 22, 1946 and had 4 children together. Their life together took them to Cincinnati OH and Rockford, IL before settling in the Gig Harbor/Seattle WA area during their retirement years. Mary was preceded in death by Bill, her husband of 66 yr, and her daughter, Kathleen Ann Westendorf.

She is survived by her daughters Mary Beth and Suzanne both of Seattle, WA; her son Stephen of Johns Creek, GA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. At Mom’s request there will be no public service and burial will be with her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery. Mom requested any memorials to be the non-profit of your choice.
