Obituary for Mary L. Gogel Mary Louise Gogel, 82 of Mariah Hill, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Willowdale Village Nursing Center in Dale. Mary was born January 12, 1936 in Troy to Louis and Irene (Gasser) Scherzer. She married Albert Gogel Jr. on June 18, 1955 in New Boston.

Mary was a member of Mary Help of Christians Church in Mariah Hill. She was a former religion teacher. Mary enjoyed quilting, cooking and baking.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Jr. of Mariah Hill; seven sons, Bryant (Tina) Gogel of Haubstadt, Kelly (Laura) Gogel of Dale, Barry Gogel of Tennyson, Jan (Julie) Gogel of Fulda, Dean Gogel of Mariah Hill, Dane (Christie) Gogel of Evansville and Travis (Kim) Gogol of Lamar; two daughters, Deborah (Dean) Stein of Dale and Jacqueline (Charles) Miller of Santa Clause; one brother, Robert Scherzer of New Boston; twenty grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by a grandson and a brother, Paul Scherzer. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM CDT in Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Mariah Hill.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-7:00 PM CDT in Mary Help of Christians Church and also Wednesday from 9:00 AM CDT until time of services. Online condolences may be shared at www.
