Mary Lou (Peyton) Achauer, formerly of New Concord, Ohio passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018 at The Oaks at Northpointe. Mary Lou was born in Blue Rock, Ohio on October 7, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Jonas Everett and Blanche (Howell) Peyton.

After her parents early death, she was raised by her sister and brother-in-law Edith and Roy Corns. She was a member of the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church and also attended the New Concord United Methodist Church. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter # 264 on Norwich.

She retired in 1990 after 30 years from the GE Plant in New Concord. After retiring she had many other jobs including working as activity person at Beckett House and a proctor at Muskingum College. She was also a member of the Jack and Jill Mothers Club.

She enjoyed painting and arts and crafts. Mary Lou is survived by her children, Kenneth H. Achauer of Zanesville, Robert C. (Kris) Achauer of Lancaster and Daniel R. (Jodee) Achauer of Norwich; her grandchildren, Brian (Mekenzie) Achauer, Todd (Abbey) Achauer, Erin (Bryan) Paisley, Hannah Achauer, Katie (Shaun Montgomery), Abby Achauer; her great-grandchildren, Addison and Cashton Paisley, Greyson Montgomery, Sawyer Achauer, Isla Achauer and one due in June. Also her half-brother, Samuel (Glenna) Mitchell and a niece whom she considered as a sister, Vicki Stephenson, a niece Sandy Ritchie of Conroe, Tx and many more nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband Donald H. Achauer who passed away November 15, 1993; her two sisters and their husbands, Edith (Roy) Corns and Doris (Calvin) Corns. Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 5 pm to 7 pm Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main Street, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 4, 2019 with Pastor Karen Osborn. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
