She passed away on February 21, 2019 at the Christian Homes Nursing Home in Holdrege, Nebraska at the age of 87 years, 7 months, 3 days. Mary Lou was a High School graduate of Superior.

She was united in marriage to Raymond Grummert on December 5, 1948 at Superior, Nebraska. This union was blessed with 2 daughters and a son. Mary Lou was a farmer’s wife and homemaker, raising their children.

After retiring Raymond and Mary moved to Holdrege, Nebraska in 2009 to be closer to family. In May of 2014 she entered Christian Homes in Holdrege, Nebraska where she resided until her passing. Mary Lou was a member of Spring Creek Square Dance Club, Salem Lutheran Church, rural Superior and Mt.

Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege. Her hobbies included playing cards with the local card clubs, square dancing, china painting and decorating cakes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond on January 31, 2016; one brother LaVern Andreasen, three sisters Dorothy Chapman, Margaret Jones and Lois Degner and infant granddaughter Tracy Lynn Jacobsen.

Survivors include her daughters Peggy Jacobsen and husband Carl of Holdrege, Nebraska; Lorraine Glisson and husband Stacy of Plainville, Kansas; and son Tim Grummert of Holdrege, Nebraska; 5 grandchildren: Christie (Jacobsen) Couvillion and husband Claude of Helendale, California; Brenda (Jacobsen) Smith and husband Nick of Holdrege, Nebraska; Stacy Jr. Glisson and wife Rachael of Kansas City, Missouri; Joe Glisson and fiancé Brooklyn Eilers of Plainville, Kansas; Deni Glisson-Sumner and husband Terry of Plainville, Kansas and 10 great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
