Mary Louise Habets Widhalm went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Peace Hospice in Great Falls, Montana at the age of 96. She was born to Peter and Mary Habets on October 15, 1922 in Conrad, Montana. She married Andy Widhalm on November 5, 1940 at the Belgium Colony Church.

They lived on their farm north of Valier until 1975 when they retired and they moved to Valier. They raised 10 children, Charlotte Gilfillan (Dick), David (Carolyn), Doris Boyle (Joe), Terry, Steve (Nancy), Mervin, Don, Evelyn, Kathy Hendrickson(Clint) and Tom (Ellen). Mary Louise’s interests were her family, church, gardening, quilting, and reading.

She is survived by her 9 children, 23 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 68 years, a son, Terry and all of her siblings except her brother Gerald Habets. There will be a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 9.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 10th at 2:00 pm. Both services will be at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Valier and burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery following the funeral.
