Mary’s Obituary Mrs. Mary Lynn Wender passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at her home in Daytona Beach Shores, FL at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Lennie Ayers, sister Emily Ayers, and granddaughter, Holly Cornwell. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, John Jay Wender, Jr.; daughter, Jan Cornwell and husband Ricky, son John Wesley Wender, daughter Nell Chase and husband Tony; grandchildren Lauren Miller, Valerie Azzarello, Kelli Wender, Ryan and Logan Cornwell, and Parker and Peyton Chase; 5 great grandchildren; and sister Annie Caldwell.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 16 at 2:00pm at Port Orange Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Interment will be at Zion Methodist Church in Knoxville, TN on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00am.
