Mary A. O’Dell, 92, a longtime resident of the Grattan Township/Belding area, passed away Monday evening, September 24, 2018 at Metron of Belding. Mary was born on July 18, 1926 in Muskegon, the only daughter of Samuel and Marian (McQuarry) O’Dell. In her childhood years, Mary lived on a large horse farm in Kentucky.

After the death of her father, Mary and her mother moved to the Grattan area to be closer to family. For many years she had helped extended family members with care at home. Mary is survived by her extended family members and two special friends in Belding; Karen K. Weeks and Betty Jenkins.

In keeping with family wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Memorials may be given to the Alvah N. Belding Library. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
