Obituary for Mary Patricia Collins Of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Crafton on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Born in McDonald on September 8, 1925.

Wife of 49 years to the late Paul Byron Collins; beloved mother of Elizabeth (Peter) Agnew, Paul B. Collins Jr., Peter (Carol) Collins, Jane Collins, foster son Robert Pattinato and the late Mary Bridget Klemmer; dear grandmother of Jane, Brady, Molly, Samuel and Grant; great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Marley, Zoe and Liam; sister of David (Carol) and the late James (surviving wife Jan) and Charles (Joann) Hogan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was an ardent member of the Pro Life movement and was dedicated to the belief that life is precious from conception to natural death. Pat was a member of St. Philip Church in Crafton and was honored to act as a Eucharistic minister, providing communion to shut-ins, a lector, and vice president of the church council.

Upon moving to Mt. Lebanon she embraced St. Anne’s Church. As a Crafton resident she served as vice president of the democratic party, judge of elections, and secretary of Crafton Celebrates.

She treasured her friends old and new, especially Marge Reilly who was a great companion. She was grateful for the support of her children, and for Jane with whom she lived and received loving care. Most of all, it was her husband, Byron, whose love and support made her life one filled with happiness.

They both enjoyed his retirement – venturing into the great wide open. Mary Pat was the most generous mother, always having time for her children. Family and friends received Friday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the SCHEPNER – McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME INC.
