Mary Sue Martin, December 02, 1944 — February 25, 2019

Mary Sue Martin, longtime Beggs resident, passed away Monday evening, February 25, 2019 at her home. She was 74 years of age. Mary was born December 2, 1944 in Bristow to the late Lois Lee and Helen Mae Horn.

She graduated from Beggs High School and later married Bob Martin on July 3, 1964 at the First Baptist Church in Beggs. Mary worked in the Bristow Garment Factory for several years before spending 32 years at Bartlett Collins Glass Plant. After retirement, she worked at the Mounds Water Office.

She was an avid gardener and enjoyed arts and crafts throughout her life. She was a bowler, enjoyed square dancing and spending time at play days and the roundup club in earlier years. Mary loved making wedding cakes and trying new recipes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois Horn and Helen Horn Pettypool and two brothers, Johnny Lee Horn and Jerry Don Horn. Survivors include her husband, Bob, of the home, sons, Randy Martin and Rick Martin and wife Karmen, granddaughters, Chasitie Seaton and husband Justin, McKenzie Jenkins and husband Kasey, Ryan Martin and Shae Martin, great grandchildren, Max Seaton and Ryder Jenkins, siblings, Linda Chambers, Shirley Mudgett and husband Brad, Tony Horn and wife Fawn, Sandra Rice and husband Mike and Dale Horn and wife Nina and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mary will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Crossroads Baptist Church of Beggs with Reverends Gary Honeycutt and David Hamilton to officiate.
