Mary T Romasko, October 27, 1937 — February 19, 2019

Mary Theresa Romasko (nee Ruckle), passed peacefully on February 19, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital, with her family by her side. “Terry” was born and raised in Philadelphia, and met her soul mate on a blind date in 1954. After marriage in 1956, Mary and Hank welcomed 4 children.

Throughout her entire life she was a dedicated mother first and foremost. Every day, Mom’s first priority was her oldest son Henry, whom is mentally challenged, and whom she fiercely protected and educated. She taught them piano, encouraged them to tinker and fix, (saying “It’s broke anyway!

”), and always pushed to read, study, and travel. Mary was always strong-willed, caring, inquisitive, outgoing and ready to cut any grandchild’s hair (with or without consent. ).

She was known for having everyone’s back, telling it like it is and proudly helping with her nieces and nephews throughout their upbringing. Lover of games and slot machines, Mary eagerly tried to make her family rich playing the 3 & 4-digit Numbers. Beloved wife of 64 years to Henry Romasko.

Devoted mother of Diane Romasko-White, Henry Romasko Jr., Robert (Stephanie) Romasko and the late Edward A. Romasko. Dearest Mommom of Raymond, Jennifer, Brittany, Wade, Eddie, Jackie, Ryan, Phoebe, Robbie and great Mommom of Hailey and Little Eddie III. Sister of Clair Romasko and the late Gus and Tony Ruckle.

She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Monday morning 8-10:10am at Murphy Ruffenach, Brian W. Donnelly Funeral Home, 3rd & Wolf Sts. Funeral Mass 10:30am, Our Lady of Mt.
