Maryann M. DiBari, 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and settled in Eltingville in 1973. Maryann graduated from Lafayette High School in 1959.

She received her Bachelor Degree in Education from New York University in 1963, and then furthered her education, receiving her Master’s Degree from the College of S.I. Maryann’s career as a teacher spanned for over 35 years, first teaching at P.S. 42 in Eltingville and then as a teacher and librarian at P.S. 14. Many of her happiest moments were spent listening and watching her children and grandchildren perform. She herself was also musically inclined, an accomplished pianist, and a never-ending supporter of her family’s endeavors.

Maryann was also an avid reader, was fond of writing poetry, and also enjoyed playing computer games. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was always there for her family. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to Frank J. DiBari.

Loving mother of Keri Ann DiBari-Oberle and Frank J.DiBari. Fond mother-in-law of Tom Oberle and Stephanie DiBari. Devoted grandmother of Frank, Jocelyn, Nicolette and Tommy.

Dear sister of Jon Valentino. The family will receive friends from 2-5 and 7-9 on Sunday, February 10, 2019 and Monday, February 11, 2019 at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd. SINY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Rd. SINY 10312. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery.
