Obituary of Mary Burns Mary Teresa Burns, 89, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018. She was born in Shamokin, PA on December 4, 1928, a daughter of the late Albert J. and Rosellen C. (Sullivan) Smith. Mary has been living in Collegeville for 54 years.

She had previously lived in Graterford, PA. Mary was a faithful Catholic and parishioner of Saint Eleanor Catholic Church. She and her husband dedicated much of their lives to actively participating in the life of the Church.

Mary was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late Rev. Mr. James H. Burns. She was the dear mother of James F. (the late Cynthia) Burns of Souderton, Kevin C. ( & Linda) Burns of Collegeville, Sharon M. ( & Kevin) Logan of Sellersville, Shawn G. ( & Sandra) Burns of Eagleville, Michael K. ( & Cheryl) Burns of Pottstown, and Mary Megan ( & Douglas) Stoneback of Perkiomenville.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Nolte. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA 19426.

Friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Church. Interment will take place in Limerick Garden of Memories. Memorial Contributions can be made in her name to St. Eleanor’s Church at the above address.
