OBITUARY Mattie G. Sheets May 3, 1933 – October 21, 2018 Mattie Sheets, 85, passed away on October 21, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born on May 3, 1933 in Locust Grove, OK. Mrs. Sheet’s was an beauty shop owner for many years in Odessa, TX.

She moved to Alabama in 1988. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Vida Weaver; 5 brothers, Thomas D. Weaver, William T. Weaver, Obie H. Weaver, Fred Weaver, Jr., and Robert L. Weaver , 3 sisters, Gladys Peeples, Jean Wise and Darlene Bedford. Surviving are her husband, Earl Sheets; a son, Gary Bownds and friend Carole Beasley of Gardendale, TX, daughter, Judy (Eddie) Norton of Warner, Ok; 5 grandchildren, Jeremy Norton, Leslie Bishop, Christopher Norton, Michelle Norton and Dustin Bownds; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great greatgrandchildren; sister, Dean Diacon of Holdenville, OK.
