Mattie Sue Joplin, of Kennedale, was welcomed home by her loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, February 6, 2019. She was born on February 4, 1929 in Meadow, Texas to William Thomas Bell and Ollie (Wilkerson) Bell and was married to Floyd H. Joplin for over fifty years. Mattie was a member of Liberty Church of Mansfield, she loved her family, and also loved shoes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, James Craig Joplin; and sister, Emma Lou Ryan. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Mike Joplin and wife Ruby, Debra Sue Raines and husband Marvin, Scott Joplin and wife Jan; grandchildren, Kimberly Heath and husband Roger, Steven Joplin and wife Christine, Chase Raines and wife Rachel, Mindy Malicoat, Greg Joplin and wife Candice, Amber Fisch and husband Jedd, Jackson Woodside; great grandchildren, Hayden, Emmy, Hayley, Teagen, Alyssa, Xavier, Tessa, Madison, Laynee, Justin, Jordan, Zaylee, Ashlee, Kendall; great great grandchildren, Justin, Candon, Tara; and sister, Frances Brown and husband Robert. Funeral service for Mattie will be Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends for visitation Friday, February 8, 2019 from 1:00-2:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.
