She was the youngest daughter to the late Sylvester and Leona Payton. She fought a good fight and went to her heavenly home on December 25, 2018.

Maude was baptized and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was a faithful and active member. She was a member of the Ruth Circle.

Maude was an educator and taught in the Port Arthur School System. She touched many lives during her years teaching. Maude was a loyal member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Port Arthur Chapter.

Red and White could be found throughout her home and within her home and heart. Maude is survived by her son, Jefferson Womack III; sister, Leotha Payton Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews, family friends and her faithful furry friend, Wooden. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Leroy Payton.

Her memories will be cherished by all that knew and loved her. Services will be held on Wednesday January 2, 2019 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church beginning at 11AM. Pastor David Daviss officiating.

Visitation will be 9AM until service time. Entombment will be at Live Oak Memorial Park Mausoleum. Services are entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home Inc. SERVICES Funeral Service Wednesday, January 02, 2019 11:00 AM St. Paul United Methodist Church 821 Freeman Ave.
