Obituary for Mavoyne Jean Clemens Mavoyne Jean Clemens passed away Sunday afternoon on April 15th, 2018 with Nick, her cat, on her lap. She loved a good crime show and named her cats Nick and Cathy after CSI characters. She loved to read all kinds of books.

Neighbors would see her and her husband, Donald, sitting on a couch with the garage door open for all to see or greet. They spent their time making dinners of the needy at Santa Cruz Bible Church, or helping pack clothes at the Salinas Mission. Their faith in our Lord Jesus Christ followed their every step.

These steps took them on a few cruises, but what they loved most was going to Eleuthera, Bahamas, every year for the month of November. They loved the island and people and made many friends. She was preceded in death sadly by her husband, Don.

He was her life and it was said “they were connected at the hip. She sadly went on with a large piece of her heart stolen by time. Born Mavoyne Jean Tweedy on August 17, 1930 to Eugene Norris Tweedy and Rhoda War in Salina, Kansas; preceding her in death was her much beloved husband, Donald John Clemens.

She leaves her daughters Dawn Tweedy, Renee (Steve) Rasmussen, Jill (Todd) Prindle and son, Scott (Valerie) St. Denis; her grandchildren Dustin (Rachel) Rasmussen, Valen Harper and Cody Rasmussen and her great granddaughter, Esther Rasmussen.
