Maxelean Daugherty went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born to the late Roy and Ruby Whitely in Horse Branch, Kentucky. She worked numerous places, but retired from General Electric and Sumotoma.

She was a member of the Horse Branch Church of God where she loved singing and playing guitar. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Daugherty of 61 years and several family members and a sister, Barbara Daugherty. She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons, Roger (Vicki) Daugherty and Gregory (Pat) Daugherty both of Horse Branch; three grandsons, Adam Daugherty of Nashville, Tennessee, Brad (Laura) Brezenski of Cincinnati, Ohio and Donnie (Amy) Daugherty of Tell City, Indiana; two granddaughters, Ashley (Matthew) Boyken of Centertown and Mandy (Trent) Holbert of Ashville, North Carolina and eleven great-grandchildren Whitney, Clay, Evan, Ella, Salin, Braydon, Julie, Anna, Spencer, Lucas, and Brinkley.

Also remaining are one brother, Earnest (Ijean) Whitely; two sisters, Pat Fraime and Eleanor (Hoyt) Bratcher; several nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Horse Branch Church of God with Bro. Robert Sorrels, Sister Deena Gaither, and Rev.

Sonny Whitely officiating. Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky and from 9:00 until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
