OBITUARY Maxine Evans March 17, 1930 – January 21, 2019 Age 88, passed away peacefully at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice on Monday, January 21st, 2019. She was born in Hewitt, MN on March 17th, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Marie (Tippey) McChesney; husband, Andrew “Jack” Evans; brother, Roland McChesney; and sister, Marlene (McChesney) Knapp.

She married Andrew Evans and moved to Mpls where she worked At Honeywell for 25 years. They loved traveling and spent retirement in AZ. Maxine loved painting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and tatting, and was a great teacher.

Maxine loved traveling with her best friend, Betts McCulloch. She will be greatly missed by her children, Lynn (Rich) Elliott, Charletta (Bernard) Strauss, Vaness Menard; and grandchildren Dana (Sonja) Menard, Julie (John) Schlueter, Jackie Strauss, and Mizie (JB) Adam; and many great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to North Memorial Hospice and/or J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice.

Memorial service at 11 am on Saturday, January 26th at Sunset Funeral Home (2250 St. Anthony Blvd. NE, Mpls. ).

Visitation 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial Sunset Cemetery.
