Maxine’s Obituary Maxine Christian, age 88, of Poplar Bluff, MO, died Monday, February 18, 2019 at Mark Twain Caring Center. Mrs. Christian was born April 15, 1930 in Grayridge, MO, daughter of the late Bill and Eva Bailey. She was an avid Jehovah’s Witness spending 60 to 70 hours a month talking with others about the Bible.

She was baptized 1959. She enjoyed music and dancing, reading and spending time outdoors. She was married to Arlo Christian.

He preceded her in death in January of 1980. She is survived by three sons: Barry Christian and wife Janet of Saint Peters, MO, Allen Christian and wife Cynthia of Potosi, MO, and Richard Christian and wife Fredia of Poplar Bluff; three sisters: Glenda Alexander, Linda Davidson, and Shirley Johnson: one brother: Bob Bailey; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren. There will be a gathering of family and friends Sunday February 24 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk.

A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm with Jerry Griffith officiating.
