Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late B. Franklin and Mae (Dietrich) Sellers, May resided in Doylestown since 2012 and was a former resident of Huntingdon Valley and Glenside, PA.
May was formerly employed as an administrative assistant/vet tech with Rau Animal Hospital, Glenside, PA and was a lifelong lover of animals. She was also a lifelong member of the Glenside United Church of Christ. She was the devoted wife of the late William H. Ackerman; devoted mother of Linda (Jim) McHenry and Stephen (Sydney) Ackerman, dear sister of the late Horace (Anna) Sellers, Dorothy (Harry Edward) Dress; loving grandmother of Cynthia Farina, Matthew McHenry, Ian McHenry, Stephen, Daniel and Travis Ackerman; cherished great-grandmother of Isabella, Grace and Sophia Farina, Cleo Iwata McHenry and Eva Iwata McHenry, Daniel J. Ackerman, Jr., Jaxon Enochs, Prudence Salinas and Eleanor Grace Ackerman.
