Megan Elizabeth Maddex, 27, passed away suddenly, April 6, 2018, following a long term, hard fought battle with depression and addiction. Beloved daughter of Barbara Maddex Rankin and Scott M. Rankin. Step sister of AJ (Amy) Rankin.

Cherished Granddaughter of Genevieve M. Maddex nee Ahern. Niece of Michael (Sheree) Maddex, Thomas (Sharon) Maddex, the late Mary Patricia Maddex and Beth (Frank) Rankin-Contee. cousin of Michael J. Maddex (Enza) and Thomas E. Maddex (Sheri).

Aunt of Athena, Freya and Genevieve. Megan was loved by many and will be terribly missed. She will be remembered for her big heart and sense of humor.

She loved all children, but especially those with any type of special needs. Megan spent most of the last year working in the field of addiction and she aspired to be an addictions counselor. Helping others always helped her immensely.

A Memorial for Megan will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018, 2pm at the Liberty Community Church 1640 Gelden Road, Lindenhurst, IL 60046. In lieu of flowers, donations to Live4Lali at live4lali.org/donate.
