Obituary for Megan Kristine Doak Megan Kristine Doak, daughter of Jonathan and Stacey Doak, passed away on December 12, 2018 due to a medical condition. She is survived by her parents, sister, Madisen Doak, grandparents, Wil and Pat Doak and Dennis and Kris Scott, her fiancé Thomas Schafhausen, Uncles and Aunts, Tim and Melissa Doak, Lisa, and Ricky Wesbury, and Jeff Scott, Darin Scott, cousins, Kristine and Ryan Doak, and Heather Scott, Hunter Scott and many other family members. Megan was born in Tacoma, Washington on August 3, 1999.

From birth she defied the odds as a preemie at 29 weeks. She continued through life having to overcome many obstacles, from hip dysplasia at 3 years old, epilepsy at 7 years old, not being able to drive due to seizures at 15 years old, and many challenging obstacles during her high school years. Throughout all these challenges Megan pushed through and finally found happiness when she met her fiancé Thomas Schafhausen.

Megan was taken from us way too early, but knowing she is in the arms of our Lord gives us all comfort. A celebration of life for Megan will be held Saturday, December 15, at 12:30 pm at Seacoast Church in Summerville, SC. Following the celebration will be a gathering of loved ones in the church recreation room to talk and share stories with the family.
