Melissa Lacey departed this life on February 1, 2019 to be with the Lord and her loving Grandfather Pop Pop. During her short stay here she courageously batted numerous chronic disease conditions. She passed away at Meritus Medical Center.

Melissa was born in Cheverly, Maryland on May 25, 1985 to Frank Lacey Sr. and Karren Merryman. Melissa was adopted by her grandmother Alice Lacey, which made her the first and last when it came to have siblings. Melissa was raised in Howard County where she attended Deeprun Elementary, Mayfield Middle, Severna High, and she received her GED from James Madison High.

Melissa will be missed by her siblings Michael Kreamer, Stephanie Lacey, Francis Lacey Jr, Brandi Capone, and Kenneth Lacey. Additional siblings left behind by Melissa are Edna, Terri, James, Frank and Charlie. Melissa is survived by her biological mother and father and her adopted mother, her two children Abigail Brady and Tyler Brady.

Melissa loved being at home and relished being a mother to her two adorable children. As a child and an adult Melissa was a very artistic person, she used this artistic talent to help her children express themselves which has given Abigail and Tyler a solid foundation. During her youth Melissa enjoyed time in the Outer Banks and on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, from Annapolis to Solomon’s, on mini family vacations.

Dear loved ones, I am home safely in heaven and I am no longer with pain or grief. May God bless you now and forever, until we meet again, Amen. Family will be received at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A. 4739 Baltimore Ave.
