Melody “Bear”‘s Obituary Melody Kim “Bear” Lovitt, 54 of Sterling passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 19, at Freedom Outreach Church. The service will conclude at the church.

Bear was born May 28, 1964 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Melvin K. and Harriet Pat (Van Dyke) Jackson. She married Rodney L. Lovitt October 30, 1987 in Otis, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Melvin; grandson Cameron and her sister Jackie “Pebbles” Tadolini.

Bear is survived by her husband Rodney; children Curtis and Christen Lovitt; grandchildren Jayden, Brycen and Karson and siblings Leona, Debbie, Judy “Skeets”, JR and Kim Barnes. Contributions may be made to the Melody K. Lovitt Memorial Fund in care of Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, PO Box 1046, Sterling, CO 80751.
