Obituary for Melva M. Hunnell HUNNELL, Melva M., age 81, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Melva was born in Columbus, Ohio, on May 28, 1937, to the late Alton Summerfield Parker and Beulah Miller Parker. She worked as a shipping clerk for VF Corporation before retirement.

Melva was preceded in death by her parents, Alton S. and Beulah Parker; husband, William A. Hunnell; daughter, Stella Kaye Hunnell; brother, Ralph Alton Parker; and sister, Aleta Sue Nelson. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Peggy) Hunnell, Jr., Thomas (Sherry) Hunnell, Yvonne (Timothy) Patterson; 11 grandchildren, Danny Hunnell, Randy Hunnell, Robyn Boyde, Misty James, David Geisler, Tyler Patterson, Chad Hunnell, Chase Hunnell, Jimmy Heath, Jason Heath, and Regina Titus; and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Sunday, December 23, 2018, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Leon Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens in Dickson, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 23, 2018, from 12noon until service hour of 2pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Isaiah Hunnell, David Geisler, Danny Hunnell, Chad Hunnell, Chase Hunnell, and Bob Boyde.
