A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Melvina Yolanda Bivens of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 will be held Saturday, July 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, 1225 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, Florida, Pastor B.R. Fulton with Rev. Melvin Bivens, eulogist.

Melvina was born on December 22, 1970 in Tampa, Florida, to Melvin Bivens, Sr. and Fannie Bell Bivens. Melvina enjoyed music, especially hip-hop, dancing, and doing hair shows. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Bell Bivens.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her husband, William O. Brown; children, Sierra Brown Pelmore, Aeriel Benjamin, Laura Brown, and William B. Brown; grandchildren, Lyric Benjamin, Sariya Pelmore, Poetry Thomas, Donnie Benjamin, Zayden Brown, and Zayle Bess; father, Melvin Bivens (Sandra); brother, Ahamad Bivens; sisters, Lila Bivens and Jasmine Pack; nieces, Maranda Allen, Cache Miller and Ahmena Allen; nephews, Zachariah Bivens, Zebedee Bivens and Jeremy Allen; Mema, Faye; cousins, Missy, Tangie, and Wanda; sons-in-law, Donald Benjamin, Trevor Thomas, Kyle Pelmore, and Quan Bess; daughter-in-law, Yelitza Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, other cousins and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 6th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the memorial service.
