Merdith’s Obituary Merdith Cecil Scott of Williamstown, KY was born Monday, June 18, 1928 in Bowen, KY and died Monday, March 18, 2019 at his residence at the age of 90. He was the son of the late Charlie Verlin and Rosie Green Bishop Scott, a retired Mill Wright for Newtone in Oakland, OH, and member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church but attended the God’s Community Church in Williamstown. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two wives, Martha Burns Scott in 1996 and Thelma Scott in 2018, and two sisters, Lucille Scott Race and Dora Scott Nantz.

Surviving is 1 son, Cecil Scott of Corinth; 3 daughters, Dora Gordon (Rex) of Williamstown, Tammy Garland (Tim) of Williamstown, and Debbie Arnold (Patrick) of Burlington; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Charlie Scott (Gail) of Williamstown and Seldon Scott (Phyllis) of Carrollton. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown followed by interment at the Hill Crest Cemetery. Visitation will also be Friday 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home.
