Mervin “Merv” Keim, age 72, of Shreve, Ohio passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio surrounded by his family following a year long battle with cancer. Graveside and Military Services will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio.

Merv was currently retired but was previously General Manager of KMS Steam Supply and was a truck driver for H.R. Ewell Inc He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict, serving in the US Army. Merv enjoyed gambling, model trains and was an avid coin collector.

He is survived by his daughter, Holly Keim; two grandchildren, Myah (Daniel) Patrushev and Tyler Schmidt; a great-grandson, Grayson Patrushev; 6 siblings, Malinda (Bert) Miller, Clara (Dave) Hershberger, Esther (Eli) Miller, Jonas (Emma) Keim, Robert (Debbie) Keim and Paul (Leona) Keim; a sister-in-law, Sara Keim; and numerous nieces and nephews.
