Nació el 7 de octubre de 1935 a Encarnación Hernández y Emeteria Alfaro en Polores, La Unión, El Salvador. Era una maravillosa ama de casa, madre, abuela, bisabuela, hermana, hija, tía y amiga.

Micaela es precedida en la muerte por sus padres; esposo, Venancio Rubio; hijos, Ernesto Rubio y José Rubio y sus hermanos, Juan Alfaro Hernández, Rufino Alfaro Hernández y Gregorio Alfaro Hernández. Le sobreviven sus siete hijos, Leonso “Loncho” Rubio y Usbaldo Rubio ambos de Matamoros, Misael Rubio de Houston, Texas, Adoni Rubio, Noe Rubio, Israel ” Irra” Rubio y Angel “Lito”Rubio, todos de Matamoros; tres hijas, Santos Yanes, de Premont, Texas, María “Mary” Pérez de Matamoros y Doris Rubio de Houston; tres hermanas, Daniella Fuentes, Lucas Alfaro y Angela Alfaro, todas de El Salvador; 26 nietos; 33 bisnietos y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas. La visita se llevará a cabo en el Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams en Falfurrias, Texas, el domingo 27 de enero de 2019 de 9:00 a.m. a 9:00 p.m. El entierro seguirá en Matamoros en una fecha futura.
