Obituary for Michael B. O’Connell Jr. Michael B. O’Connell Jr. WWII Army Sgt, beloved husband of the late Rosalie (nee Flanigan), beloved son of the late Michael B. Sr and Mary Anna O’Connell (nee Leszycnski). Loving Father of Karen Kellerman, Michael B. O’Connell III, Kathleen (James) Jansen, Mary O’Connell and Patrick (Chris) O’Connell, dear Grandfather of Ryan (Kristi) Kellerman, Kevin Kellerman, Karrie (Rob) Baughman and Molly Malone. Dearest Great Grandfather of Elizabeth, Micah, Kaeleigh, Russell, Jaxin, Dean and Gavin.

Fond brother of the late Dolores and Fred Scultz, Mary Ellen and the late Gerald O’Malley. Dearest companion and friend Lillian Floody, Loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Monday, October 8, 2018 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am at Anderson Memorial Chapel, 606 Townhall Drive, Romeoville, IL 60446, funeral service to follow Monday 10:30 am from the funeral home to St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 505 Kingston Dr. Romeoville, IL for Mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, 87th Street and Hamlin Avenue, Evergreen Park, IL Michael was a graduate of Old St. Patrick’s High School class of 1944.

Michael attended Northwestern University, he was life long Chicago White-Sox Fan. Michael enjoyed politics, bocce ball and was a member of the Carillion Men’s Club and he enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Michael participated as Army Honor Guard for fellow veterans for many years.
