Obituary for Michael D Stevens Michael Douglas Stevens, 65, of Bald Knob, Arkansas (formerly of Fort Gibson), was born October 14, 1952 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Billings Ambrose Stevens and Betsy Mary (Burgoyne) Stevens and passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 in Bald Knob, Arkansas. Michael was raised in North Brookfield, Massachusetts. He went to High School in Charlton, Massachusetts but only completed up to the 10th grade.

When Michael turned 17 he joined the US Navy on March 06, 1970. After he was honorably discharged on December 1, 1971, Michael became a truck driver. That became his career for over 20 years as he drove from coast to coast delivering many different things.

While on the road his nickname was Mickey Mouse and that has stayed with him all through the years. Michael had a passion for motorcycles. He was either riding on one or fixing one up.

In his later years he joined the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA). One of his hobbies was tinkering with anything he could get his hands on like his truck that was called the “Gold Beast”. He enjoyed working on a mini semi-truck with one of his good friends and they drove it in many parades.

Michael loved spending time with his kids and grandkids on holidays and birthdays. During Christmas everyone would call him Santa Clause because of his long white beard. He was always there when people needed him.

You could call at any given moment with a situation and he would drop what he was doing and go help. He loved to watch cartoons like Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry, and pawn shows. Michael was a member of the New Life Assembly of God in Fort Gibson and was baptized into Christ on June 12th, 2016.
