Carone age 87, passed away peacefully on March 8 at Autumn Leaves of Crystal Lake. He was the loving father of Jeanmarie Carone, Michaelene (Keith) Stepp, Michael (Teena) Carone, Kathy Scherer, and Annmarie (Jon) Piro; dearest grandfather of Christopher Keen, Tracey (Kevin) Adams, Ryan Keen, Dana Keen, Barbara Stepp, Callum Stepp, Johnathan Carone, Allison Carone, Alex Scherer, Taylor Scherer, Hunter Scherer, and Sophia Piro; dearest great grandfather of Isabelle and Isaac Adams; fond brother of Grace (Tony) Mazzurco; former father-in-law of Daniel Keen and Jay Scherer; He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine in 1997 and a sister Louise Watkins. Michael was a USMC veteran serving in the Korean war, and also past president of the First Marine Division Association.

Visitation will be held at Skaja Bachmann Funeral Home 7715 West Route 14, Crystal Lake on Thursday from 10:00am until 12:00pm at which time we will proceed to St. Mary Church in Woodstock for the funeral mass at 1:00pm.
