Michael’s Obituary Michael J. Mizell, Age-65 passed away at his home in Myakka City, FL on Sunday, May 5, 2019. He was born in Sarasota, FL on September 13, 1953 and has been a lifelong resident of Myakka City. Michael owned a business, “Mike Mizell Land Clearing” he loved to work and enjoyed fishing and hunting and at one time he even raced cars.

He was a loving and honest son, husband, father and grandfather to his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Vicki and one son Maury James (Amy) Mizell of Lake Placid, FL. and one daughter Jaime (Marc) Shore of Port Charlotte, FL and his mother Ouida (Robert) Carter of Myakka City, FL.

Two grandchildren Matthew James Mizell of Lake Placid FL. and Kaya Grace Shore of Port Charlotte, FL. He is also survived by two sisters, Shelly (Farren) Mizell-Dakin of Myakka City, FL.

and Laurie Mizell Dupuy of Myakka City, FL. One brother; Kevin Mizell also of Myakka City, FL. A sister-in-law; Karen Mizell He is also survived by his beloved cat, Kippen He is also survived by four stepchildren, Ross (Amanda) Nelson of Myakka City, FL.

Pepper (Brian) Sellers of Parrish, FL; Chad (Jessica) Nelson of Arcadia, FL and Adam (Nicki) Nelson also of Arcadia, FL. He is also survived by twelve step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father; James Owen Mizell and a brother Frank Mizell.

A visitation will be held on Thursday May 9th from 1:00-2:00pm at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 50 North Hillsborough Avenue Arcadia, FL. where a funeral service will begin at 2:00pm Pastors Larry Allbriton and Matthew Curly will be officiating. Interment to follow in Joshua Creek Cemetery.
