Michael Lawrence Buonocore, 92, of Wilmington, DE and formerly of Thornwood, NY, died on February 20, 2019. He was born on April 19, 1926 to Antonio and Rachel (nee Romano) Buonocore in New York City. He proudly served in the US Army in the Philippines during WW II.

Mike worked for IBM for 47 years, retiring in 1991. He was an avid New York Yankee and New York Giant fan and enjoyed playing and watching golf. He volunteered at Holy Rosary Church Bingo for many years until he moved to New Milford, CT and was involved on the board of directors for the Boys Club of New York.

He is survived by his sister, Angela Carforo, and three of his four children: Larry Buonocore (Susan), Michelle Motylinski (Kenneth) and James Buonocore (Marian), four grandchildren: Danielle Buonocore, Michael Buonocore, Nicole Motylinski and Kevin Motylinski and 10 nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Louis Buonocore, and his daughter, Louise Buonocore. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday from 11- 11:45 AM.

Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, NY on Friday 12 PM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY to follow.
