Michael “Mike” See was a free spirit. It was this spirit, along with his infectious smile, hearty laugh and quick wit that accompanied him on his journey through life. Mike was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania May 24, 1950 and graduated from Sharon High School in 1968.

He loved seeing the world through his own lens, taking time to travel. For a time, he lived in Colorado then Florida before making a trek across Canada and found Port Angeles, Washington where he fell in love with its beauty and has settled here for 30 years. Mike opened a restaurant called “Just Wings” Buffalo Style in Port Angeles where people are still talking his special Medium Garlic sauce.

He also had a passion for drag racing and playing soulful Blues with his harmonica. Mike’s laugh could often be heard while playing a game of Texas Hold’em. It didn’t matter if he won or lost, his love of the game was victory enough.

He is the son of the late Alfred and Helen (McGuigan) See. Waiting for him in heaven is his oldest sister Barb (See) Young and his nephew Todd Laniewski. He is survived by his sisters Becky (See) Rado of Summersville, South Carolina and Debbie (See) Laniewski and husband Bob of Johnstown, Colorado as well as his brother Tim See and partner Robbie Skinner of New Castle, Indiana.

Although he was never married, Mike adored his large family. He is survived by eight nieces and two nephews: Pam (Young) Mowrer and her husband Jeffrey; Dawn (Young) Kiefer her husband Jay and their kids Emma and Jacob; Margo Young and her wife Suzanne; Mindi Young and her husband Tony and their son Kaiden; Robin (Laniewski) Hoffman, her husband Eric and their kids Caden and Grace; Renee (Rado) Castro, her husband John and their kids Eliza and Lucia; Danielle (Laniewski) Nesbis and her husband Robert; Joe Rado, his wife Blair and their son Bode; Sianerae See and the late Todd Laniewski. Funeral services will be private.

However, Mike’s family would love for his extended family and friends across the country to share a special memory of him. Please leave a message on Mike’s Tribute Wall. I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happiness and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
