Michael Philip Jones was born June 7, 1958 in Rockford, Illinois to Jimmy and Lucille Jones. Michael lived his entire live in Rockford, where he attended the Rockford Public School System. After high school, Michael held several different manufacturing positions with companies in the local area including, MGF Manufacturing and Nestle over his 30-year career.

Michael was an avid sports fan, even though he lived in Rockford his entire life, he was a huge Los Angeles Ram football fan. He enjoyed football game days, playing card games and dominos with family and friends. Michael departed on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, after a long battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his father Jimmy Jones, brother James Jones and nephew Bryce Givens. He leaves to Cherish his memories: daughter Kiana of Rockford, IL , mother Lucille Jones of Rockford, IL ; sisters Virginia (Steve) Givens of Roscoe, IL and Velicia (Andre) Shaw of Plainfield, IL; brother Charles Jones of Rockford, IL; 3 grandchildren; special friend Mary Hughes; and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
