Michael P. Shackleton, born July 22, 1964, passed away on May 15, 2019 as the result of a stroke. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth. He is survived by his father and step mother, Michael A and Mary Shackleton (Suttons Bay, MI) his sisters Nanette Bush (Oakley, UT) and Debra Duenas (Dallas, TX) and brother William Shackleton, along with 5 nieces and 1 nephew.

Mike served in the US Marine Corp from 1983 to 1989. He loved music, he played the saxophone, flute, guitar and banjo; had a passion for reading, an unending curiosity about the world and was devoted to his constant companion dog, Casper. Together they traveled and explored this amazing country, logging millions of miles over the last several years.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting a remembrance gift to either Donate Life America (a nonprofit organ donation organization) www. donatelife.net or American Warrior Initiative (a nonprofit Veterans assistance group) www. americanwarriorinitiative.com both of which played a tremendous role at the end of life for Michael and his family.
