Michael Taylor McConnell, 30, of Cleveland TN passed away on September 11, 2018. He was born on February 17, 1988 in East Ridge, TN. Taylor was a lifelong resident of this area and a 2006 graduate of Walker Valley High School.

He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, working in the yard and the garden, and cheering on UT Football. Taylor also graduated the Teen Challenge program in June of 2017. Above all he loved spending time with his family.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Lynn Hovey (William); father Mike McConnell (Denise); sister Chloe McConnell; brother Eli McConnell; aunts and uncles: Melissa and Todd Liskey, Oliver and Leah Hovey, Kirk and Mary McConnell, Steve and Melissa McConnell, and Beth and Steve Waycaster; grandfather Bill Runions; special cousin Arthel Clark. In addition to these, Taylor leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on Friday September 14, 2018 at Community Hall Church located at 1305 6th Street Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 6:00pm with Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating. You are invited to share a personal memory of Taylor or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com.

Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the McConnell family with these arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Taylor’s memory to Teen Challenge at 1099 Flat Rock Road, Azle, TX 76020.
