OBITUARY Michael Tyrone Wells August 27, 1957 – January 14, 2019 Michael Tyrone Wells, of Union City, GA went to be with Christ his Savior on January 14, 2019 at the age of 61. Michael, was born on August 27, 1957, the 2nd born child to the union of Andrew Lee Wells and Betty Marshall Wells. Michael was educated in the public school system where he received many honors; one of them was being selected to play a violin solo for Lady Bird Johnson when he was in the sixth grade.

Later, after completing high school, he entered the prestigious Bethune-Cookman College. Michael was a waiter at several fine dining restaurants from New Orleans, GA to St. Petersburg, FL but, following a brief trip back to New Orleans, he moved to the Atlanta area and remained until the time of his death. He was the owner of Reliability Taxi, LLC.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his daughter, Mychiska Michelle Respert of Lawrenceville, GA; his son, Michael R. Fikes of Texas; his mother, Mrs. Betty M. Wells along with two sisters, Mrs. Gail W. Collins and Mrs. Sandra W McLauren, all of New Orleans, LA; six grandchildren; three uncles; one aunt; a devoted friend, Cheryl Braddy; a host of nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will hold a private memorial service in his honor.
