Michael Dean Rasmussen, 60 of Drain, OR passed away on January 7, 2019. He was born December 29, 1958 in Roseville, CA to parents Dean L. and Lora (Wood) Rasmussen. Mike graduated in 1977 from Del Oro High School in Loomis, CA.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1977 to 1979. Mike was a dry wall finisher and local millworker. He married Rhonda Rychard on June 23, 1990 in Curtin, OR.

Mike enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing with his pontoon, his 10’ aluminum boat and 20’ Hewescraft, duck hunting, crabbing, taxidermy, and scuba diving when he was younger. He loved his daily routine going to the Rose Garden Inn and La Pinata Mexican Restaurant. He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda; daughters, Carla Shaw and husband Don, Melissa Quimby and husband Christian, both of Drain, OR; brother, Kevin Rasmussen and wife Myrissa, Sutherlin, OR; and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Sara Greenburg. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on January 18, 2019 at the Yoncalla Christian Assembly, Yoncalla, OR; burial will follow at Yoncalla-Applegate Pioneer Cemetery with Reception at Yoncalla Community Center. Arrangements in the care of Smith Lund Mills Funeral Chapel.
